We support Storehouse, the foodbank ministry run by West Suffolk Vineyard.

Food bags are given to people who are living on the streets or are unable to provide enough food for themselves or their families. Working with various agencies within Bury St Edmunds, food bags are offered completely free of charge and on a no-strings-attached basis, as this is the example that Jesus set. As well as emergency food, Storehouse provides toiletries and nappies for clients of our local Health and Social Care Services.

Storehouse relies on the donations of churches, groups and individuals, to keep being able to give out food bags. Here are some things you could buy for Storehouse:

  • Tinned food - meat, vegetables, potatoes, desserts, soup, fish
  • Dried food - rice, pasta, dried packet meals, packet soups, pot noodles
  • Food in jars - pasta sauces
  • UHT milk
  • Tea bags in foil packs & small packets of sugar
  • Cereal packets that can be divided, eg Weetabix or variety packs
  • Biscuits, crisps
  • Toiletries - toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, shower gel, soap

Please leave your donations in the basket by the welcome desk.
